Tasked with creating a magazine-sized report to cover the Indian River Lagoon Health Update for the Marine Resource Council on the East Coast of Florida, we were challenged as a team to layout text, pull quotes, and create infographics to convey the findings. The goal became making the information engaging and digestible for the MRC’s target audience of environmentally concerned residents living in the area, who may not be versed in the technical terms and raw data of the report. To accomplish this, we used photographs of the local scenery and wildlife; created original vector icons and maps; and produced an all-encompassing infographic that exposes the overarching issues that plague lagoon that the audience can easily identify changes they can make at their home or business to restore the area to its natural, beautifully lush state.
